Doorways

Doors are everywhere. Some will open for you, some will remain closed. Looking for an exit or way out of a situation into a new one, doens't come purely out of will. Nor does it come purely by chance. It's a combination of the two that we are being led towards. We are all heading down our own path, with our own timing. We can create, invite or be open to new situations, but if the timing isn't in alignment with what we need on our journey, that door will simply not open. It won't happen. many times, we wish for something bigger, brighter or different but really the doorway we need to walk through is right in front of us. We may not recognize it as our chosen next step but it's a step forward. By choosing that little shift of the opportunity right infront of us, instead of wishing for a bigger shinier door, we will end up closer to the life we see in that shine. I believe there are bigger portals laid out in our life. But they are fleeting and few. Times when the floodgates open and the light streams in and we have a moment to decide to take a giant leap through. Then it closes. That doorway seals and we are set back to the old version of ourselves-the safe and familiar one. Some doors are too big and intimidating and scary for us to willingly choose, even when it is wide open and the chance for change is right there. Fear really determines what doorways we walk through. So choose the door infront of you, even if it's small and quaint.
